Rally in Vancouver's Richest Neighbourhood to End Homelessness
Official launch of Jean Swanson's 2018 Vancouver City Council election campaign
Where: Shaughnessy Park, 1300 The Crescent
When: Saturday June 9th, 11am-12:30pm
Join Jean Swanson and friends as she kicks-off her campaign for City Council in the heart of Shaughnessy, Vancouver's richest neighbourhood. By rallying together we can send a clear message: no longer will people be sleeping on the streets in the midst of such enormous wealth, including often-empty mansions worth over $40 million dollars.
In the 2017 by-election, Jean's independent campaign for City Council shaped the debate by building a movement for a Rent Freeze and a Mansion Tax. This Saturday, Jean Swanson will be making another major announcement that can change the nature of the 2018 Vancouver civic election campaign.
The political revolution continues, and we can't stop until we win the city we need.
As always, bring your Rent Freeze T-shirts!
